Clasic Rock all Stars at Bensenville, Music in the Park.
Can't believe it has been about a month since the last Blog. I've been very busy traveling around to all the "Fests" in the Chicago, Wisconsin area. There are alot of good festivals and there are a few that could use a little help. I wanted to mention a couple of bands that I have seen in the last month that I never really had paid much attention to. A couple of these bands I have targeted on my Festing calendar and puposely gone to see, but I think they are all worth seeing.

The first worth noting is 7th Heaven, www.7thheavenband.com. Wow! what a great tight band. They play music everyone can relate to and they are fun to watch. The lead singer Keith Semple does a great job relating to the crowd, and ending up in the audience. They also do a medley of songs that lasts about 30 minutes that is great to listen to. A great band and a must see at Fest near you or you can travel around and I'll meet you there. This band Rocks!

Another great choice at a "Fest" near you is the "Libido Funk Circus" www.lfcentertainment.com/libido/index.html . This band is plain out fun. This band plays a wide variety of music from the Bee Gees, Jackson 5 to the Stones. Again the singer JAYSUN MCBAIN really relates to the audience and he has a very high energy level. They are flat out fun to watch you might even find youself dancing along with them.

This next choice I had never seen before and i was pleasantly surprised. Being a Classic Rocker myself I really enjoyed this band The Class of 68. www.theclassof68.com. This band might not be for everyone because they really stick to the 60's but if you like that genre of music they are very good. The band sounded good and tight. They played Monkees, Beatles,Paul Revere and the Raiders, and basically all the hits from the 60's. They even played a song that I don't think I have ever heard played at a festival, that is a personal oldies favorite "Wooly Bully" from Sam The Sham and the Pharoahs. It was great! They also interact with the crowd alot giving away cd's, twinkies for answering a trivia question throughout the concert. Very enjoyable! They keep the audience involved and singing along with the music.

The Classic Rock All Stars www.classicrockallstars.com is kind of in the same category as the Class of 68. Classic Rock that might not appeal to some people, but the music and songs these guys wrote and play is phenomenal. The individuals in the band and the history of who they played with is like what Huey Lewis Sings its " The Heart of Rock and Roll". This is a band that I have followed around when they come to a Fest in the area. I really relate to all the great old songs and it becomes a nostalgic trip for me. I can always relate to where I was or a particuliar incident that may have happened when one of these hit songs was playing on the radio. Good Choice for a Fest near you.

The Last choice for this Blog is the band Person2Person. www.thep2pband.com. Good sound, played very tight together and played alot of good music playing alot of Classic rock hits and still throwing in a few contemporary songs. I really enjoyed them and I would and have added them to my "Festing Calendar" as one of the bands to see. A couple of Pics so you can relate to a few of the bands.

Let"s Hear from you on your favorite bands.

"Skip, Next time you are in the greater Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota area, I would like to invite you out to see Boogie & the Yo-Yo'Z - (It may sound like a band you would see at an old folks home - but it is soooo not) Hopefully We will make your "bands to see list"..."
