RAVINIA DISTRICT, HIGHLAND PARK, IL (MAY 2016) ? The Ravinia District of Highland Park is pleased to announce the music line up and vendors for its weekly ?Artisan Market,? Thursdays, June 16th to August 18th from 3-8 p.m., featuring more than 20 local artisan food, craft and beverage vendors, with live music from 6-8 p.m. The rain or shine event will take place in Jens Jensen Park, at St. Johns and Roger Williams Avenues, across from the Metra Train Station. Whether on the way to Ravinia Festival, or just looking for an evening outdoors with the family, attendees are invited to enjoy this weekly market and visit the many owner-operated businesses throughout the walkable Ravinia District. Ravinia District Artisan Market goers can ride their bicycles along the newly enhanced bike path that takes riders into the District's diverse businesses that will be staying open later for the Artisan Market on Thursdays. There will also be additional parking available at the Ravinia School parking lot. Food vendor offerings onsite include: 5 lilies (jams), Apple Holler, AquaTerra Fish, Cherie's Greener World, Glas All Naturals (cheese), Magic Circle Crepes, Mavra's Greek Olive Oil, Olano's Empanadas, Popcorn Jester, River Valley Kitchens, Roll With It, Skeeters Hot Dog Harbour, Three Bees Honey, Vesna's European Homemade Goodies, Windy City Pie Co., and WisConian Delectables (chips and salsas). Local favorites Abigail's American Bistro, Merlo's Italian Restaurant and Ravinia Brewing Company will also be onsite serving wine, beer and cocktails. The Highland Park Public Library will be organizing crafts for the kids while shoppers browse the variety of craft vendors including: Bigalke Creations (jewelry, gourds, prints, tote bags), C & D Works and Be That Jewelry (re-purposed and recycled items), Cooper's Way (gourmet doggie jerky treats and bungee cord leashes), Maggie's Munchies (healthy doggie treats, chews and antlers), Midcoast Crafts, Onedergrow (stackable planters and disc golf sets), Sharpening by Dave, Soap and Sensibility, Windmill Fiber Arts and Accents (brooms, buttons, hats) and Zila Art Studio. In addition to great food, drink and artisan goods, attendees will enjoy live music from 6-8 p.m., generously sponsored by the Highland Park Community Foundation in their mission to continue to make the Highland Park community as dynamic and vital as possible.
