The Lake Forest Chapter of the Infant Welfare Society of Chicago will sponsor the 49th Annual Antiques & Treasures in the Field on Sunday, September 11th from 9:00am to 4:00pm at the Deer Path Middle School, located on Deerpath Road, one mile east of Highway 41 in Lake Forest. Featuring over 40 quality Midwest dealers, highlights include a bake sale with a variety of gourmet delicacies along with the ever-popular Treasures Tent filled with items from many Lake Forest Estates. The Treasures Tent is typically the first stop for many who attend this event and usually brings in about one-third of the sales. The vendors on hand will appeal to all of tastes, featuring a variety of antique, Mid-Century modern, vintage, refurbished, or up-cycled furniture, home goods, décor, and more. Additional revenue is also generated through the sale of raffle tickets for a 50/50 raffle prize. Tickets will be sold the day of the event and in the weeks preceding the event within local communities. All proceeds benefit the Angel Harvey Infant Welfare Society of Chicago Community Health Center. The health center opened its new four-story, 40,000 square foot facility in Logan Square in 2005. The clinic provides high quality affordable medical, dental and ophthalmic care for women and children of working poor families in a community setting.
