    Illinois' largest street festival and huge end of summer bash, the On the Waterfront Festival transforms downtown Rockford, IL into a colorful canvas of music, food and special events. Covering 25 city blocks, the music Festival hosts over 80 performers in five music venues every Labor Day weekend. From national to local performers, the festival features blues, classic rock, country, jazz, R&B, rock, reggae, and almost anything in between, while food booths provide tantalizing fare for everyone's palette. From traditional favorites to more exotic delicacies, patrons can sample food from around the world. You won?t want to miss a minute of the festival!

    Parking Details
    Parking Public parking is available on the west side of the Rock River at the lot on the corner of Green and Church Streets, at the ramp on Church Street between Elm and Chestnut Streets, and at the ramp on North Main Street between West Jefferson and Park Streets. On the east side of the Rock River, parking is available at South Second and Walnut Streets. Handicapped parking is available in the ramp on Church Street between Elm and Chestnut Streets and in the lot on First Street between East State and Walnut Streets. An excellent alternative to downtown parking is our RMTD shuttle (please see above for details).RMTD Park and Ride Shuttle Sponsored by RMTD Ride to the festival in comfort and ease on the RMTD OTW Shuttle. Park at Target located at 6560 East State Street or the Rockford Health System Employee Lot N located at 2300 N. Rockton Ave. Shuttles will run on approximately 30-minute intervals, on the hour and the half hour during Festival hours. Service will not be available from the Rockford Health System Lot for the Thursday night opening concert but will be available from the Target location. Shuttle rides are only $1 round trip.
