Join Gurnee residents for their annual four day summer festival, Gurnee Days on August 11-14, 2016. This year's theme is ?Gurnee Days Go for Gold?, and will feature a full schedule of events including a midway and carnival rides, food, games, a variety of live music, amazing fireworks on Saturday night, a parade with more than 50 entries on Sunday morning, and more! Gurnee Days caters to families and children with a carnival, games, teen pool party, Friday movie night, talent show, baby contest, pony rides, petting zoo and more. And there's plenty of other events for adults including Gurnee Idol, a golf tournament at Heather Ridge Golf Course, a 10K Race and Fun Run, a rib fest and beer garden, a pancake breakfast sponsored by the Fraternal Order of Police and a Scoop the Loop car show. Saturday also features open houses at the Fire and Police Departments. Gurnee Days Corporation, a not-for-profit organization of volunteers, partners with the Gurnee Park District, Village of Gurnee and many local businesses to fund, organize and run the festival. If necessary, the fireworks rain date will be Sunday, August 14.
