    This affluent North Shore suburb celebrates Independence Day with a community celebration featuring food, a beer garden, live music and activities for kids--all culminating in a gala fireworks display. Presented by Friends of Lake Forest Parks & Recreation, this event was expanded in 2007 from the town's annual fireworks display to a bigger festival with resounding acclaim. It plans to build on this success in 2008 and in years to come.
